FDA Announces Public Meeting To Discuss Device Safety With Vapor Product Companies

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will delve deeper into the safety of vapor products following several reports of the devices catching fire, venting and causing bodily harm to some users.

The agency has announced a public meeting scheduled for April, where testimonies from vapor product manufacturers and those consumers who claim to have been injured by them will be collected over a two-day period.

This investigation comes at a time when complaints to the FDA about exploding devices has risen as more people use them, and as politicians like Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) call for vape device recalls and swift government intervention.
