A new ordinance banning the indoor use of vapor products where smoking is prohibited was recently approved in Itasca County, an area located in the northeastern region of Minnesota.
Authorized by the county’s board of health department, the new ordinance will be moving to a work session presided over by the Board of Commissioners. The purpose of the work session is for moving the ordinance to a public hearing, and is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 18.
The Consumer Advocates for Smoke Free Alternatives Association (CASAA) is urging Minnesota citizens and residents of Itasca County to follow the Call To Action and to contact their county commissioners ahead of the public hearing to voice their opposition towards the ordinance.
CASAA will be posting the date and time for public commenting just as soon as the information is made available.
