New Zealand Lawmakers To Reclassify Vapor Products

In the town of Whangarei, New Zealand, business owners specializing in the sale of vapor products are celebrating what they anticipate to be the normalization of e-cigarettes.

Vapor products are neither legal nor illegal in New Zealand, due to hazy legislation, but by the year 2025 those in favor of the reclassification of these products hope to make their country smoke-free, according to The Northern Advocate–a New Zealand publication.

Government officials in the country say that by next year, vapor products would fall under the same category as traditional tobacco and would be subjected to the same rules governing that product category, The Northern Advocate also reports.
